Important information regarding COVID-19 and the Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana

The safety of our staff, artists, patrons and the general public is always our greatest priority. If you are feeling unwell or displaying flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT attend the Centre. Call our box office on (08) 9467 7118 if you need assistance.

Koorliny follows COVID-Safe guidelines and has taken steps to brief our staff, to increase venue cleaning frequency, and make hand sanitiser accessible to all staff and guests of the Centre.

If you are coming to the Centre, please follow these healthy hygiene habits:

  • Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, using soap and water, or an alcohol-based gel (singing a song chorus makes the time go faster).
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or flexed elbow if you need to cough or sneeze, and wash your hands again afterwards.

Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana is closely monitoring COVID-19 advice from the Australian Government Department of Health, and we will keep patrons, artists, and the community updated should our situation change.

Food & drinks

No food except bottled or canned water or hot drinks with a lid are allowed in the theatre at any time.

Yes, our kiosk offers selected drinks and snacks. Two self-serve coffee machines are also available. If you do not have exact change, you can purchase a token at the kiosk.

We sell canned water (still and sparkling).

Why canned?

🫗🫗1 million PET plastic bottles are used every minute and, in Australia, less than half make it to a recycling facility … and that’s why we’ve made the switch to canned water at Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana.
🫗🫗 You can buy Wallaby Water cans of still or sparkling water from the kiosk (or you can refill your water bottles with Neverfail filtered water).
We looked at several options, but went this way because we are also taking part in the Containers for Change WA program. So next time you buy a can of water or soft drink from us, remember to bring your can back to the kiosk and we’ll make sure it gets recycled.
PS. Wallaby proudly donates 10% of profits from every can to help our magnificent Aussie wildlife, particularly those impacted by plastic waste and Australia’s critically endangered species.

Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana obtains an Occasional Liquor License for selected shows.

You can collect tickets from the Box Office. Please have your confirmation/order number ready for the Box Office staff so they can find your tickets quickly and not hold up others.

Please encourage family members who are coming along to watch to purchase tickets in advance, whether online or by calling the Box Office on 9467 7118.

No, unfortunately, we are unable to offer a day pass option.

Sessions with troupes tend to sell out early, so we recommend buying tickets well in advance.

If you are not able to buy a ticket for a session that is sold out please collect a wait list ticket from the Box Office which can then be swapped for returned tickets at the theatre door if they are available.

If a session sells out, we would very much appreciate you handing in your ticket to the ushers if you leave the theatre before the end of the session.

ENTRY AND EXIT TO THE THEATRE WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED AT SPECIFIC TIMES.

As a general guide, the doors will NOT open during items to minimise disruption to the dancers. Please ensure you are in the theatre before your child’s item starts so you don’t miss their dance.

Please respect the ushers and comply with their instructions. They are acting under the instruction of Centre Management.  Any problems should be reported to Management at the Arts Centre Office.

Please do not leave the theatre until the item you are watching has been adjudicated. This minimises disruption to the dancers and audience.

NO CAMERAS OF ANY KIND are allowed in the theatre at any time.  Penalties apply, and any photos or videos recorded will be erased. As a performing arts venue we are required to enforce statutory copyright regulations.

A licensed photographer/videographer will be at the event.

Times will be advised closer to the event.

No. These are public areas.

Hair and make-up is to be finalised in dressing rooms. You may wish to bring a portable mirror.

No. Removing lipstick marks from the walls is an expensive and time-consuming process. We use some heavy duty chemicals to get them off, so for your safety we advise children not to kiss them. We may also charge schools a cleaning fee if this occurs.
