Musicals entertain, inspire, delight, provoke and bury themselves deep into musical-lovers’ hearts. Some people hold onto the songs themselves, and others hold onto little nuggets of wisdom like “Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor” and “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise”.

So which quotes linger in your memory? The laugh-out-loud ones? The double entendres? The philosophical? The Captain Obvious? We asked our friends on Facebook which musical theatre quotes were their favourites, and it looks like funny ones were the winners this time round.
