Koorliny Arts Centre is home to various community groups and classes that encourage growth, knowledge, wellbeing and fun - from painting, book clubs and craft groups, to dancing, music lessons and martial arts. Musical Theatre classes are on offer at Koorliny Arts Centre for children 5-12 years of age . Taught by Lea Cullen Lynes, the classes form part of our aim to activate the Koorliny Arts Centre Spaces and enrich the social, emotional and cultural landscape of the community.

Barking Gecko Theatre Company, WA's leading theatre company for young people, invites children aged 8-17 to become part of a creative hub every Saturday (in-term) at Koorliny Arts Centre.

TUESDAYS at 9am in Studio 1.

Discover hidden artistic talent in a relaxed, social atmosphere. The class is encouraged to experiment with a range of mediums from pencil, watercolours, acrylics, pastels and oils. They also exhibit a selection of their work regularly in the Arts Centre. Members are required to supply their own art materials.

The Coffee Shop Book Club groups are aimed at people who love to read and share their opinions on books. The members are friendly; the discussions lively and interesting, with plenty of laughs. Cost is $5.

The Acorn craft group meets weekly and makes woollen garments and items for hospitals, including Rockingham Kwinana General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital.

Instep Performance Academy has been in operation since February 2000. Classes are offered in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop & Contemporary dance. Students can be trained for exams and competitions, or can dance for fun and fitness. Students are encouraged to perform to the best of their own ability, with classes kept fun and friendly.
